Her heart, however, was drawn toward divine wisdom, Sikh teaching, and the sangat. She came under the influence of Sain Mian Mir Ji and also began attending the religious gatherings connected with Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. Because of her devotion, she faced danger. She sought help, and Sain Mian Mir Ji helped arrange her safe journey toward Amritsar. Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji received her with kindness and gave her protection. She was provided safe lodging near a pond. Later, that place was developed and remembered as Kaulsar Sahib. Mata Kaulan Ji became known among Sikhs for devotion and service. She held gatherings connected with Gurbani and Sikh teaching. This sakhi teaches that the Guru’s house protects dignity. A person who sincerely seeks truth should not be abandoned because of background, gender, or social pressure. For children, the lesson is to protect people who are treated unfairly. Do not mock someone who comes to sangat with love. Help people feel safe in Guru Ghar. The Guru’s door is open to sincere hearts.
